I didn’t cut my teeth in a big agency or Silicon Valley startup. I started in the trenches — working for the family marketing business, where results mattered and fluff wasn’t an option.

From there, I joined a leadership consulting firm, sharpening my understanding of what actually drives people and performance — skills that would later shape how I build and lead marketing teams.

Then came Excel Truck Group. I was their first marketing hire. No department, no roadmap — just a lot of opportunity and a business hungry to grow. Over the next 9 years, I built the marketing function from the ground up. Strategy. Systems. Team. Execution. The company tripled in size during that time, and marketing played a central role in making it happen.

2016 - Present

Marketing Manager

Excel Truck Group

I built the marketing department from the ground up. Collaborating closely with Parts, Service, and Sales leaders, I’ve developed targeted campaigns that have not only driven measurable revenue — over $1M in additional annual parts sales and $500K in new service business — but have also been replicated by top competitors. Our low-cost, high-impact strategy combines print, digital, internal displays, and employee enablement, all backed by rigorous data analysis and seasonal responsiveness. 

 

Beyond revenue, I’ve driven initiatives that improved employee engagement, strengthened our Google Review average across all locations, and expanded our customer event presence — consistently drawing hundreds of attendees to on-site experiences. I’ve also contributed to broader industry advancement, consulting on the development of DTNA’s national marketing training curriculum for dealerships, and serving on the NCTA Workforce Development Trailer Committee, helping to shape one of the first marketing-ready workforce trailers in the country.

I managed client relations, digital branding, and social media presence during a period of rapid growth. I played a key role in marketing several leadership training books, maintained consistent online visibility through content syndication, and supported the delivery of workshops focused on DISC behavioral styles. In addition to external-facing work, I received advanced leadership and HR training that deepened my understanding of executive-level communication and organizational dynamics — experience that continues to shape my approach today.

I managed the design and creation of promotional ads, postcards, website graphics, video graphics, and more for our company and clients. I also shot, edited, and marketed videos.
